About the Client
Nethone is a tech company that offers anti-fraud solutions. They use data analytics and machine learning to help businesses fight fraud in online transactions. Their SaaS solutions provide effective protection for e-commerce and digital platforms.
About the Project
The main goals of the project were to change the outdated UI and create new functionalities from scratch that significantly expanded the capabilities of the platform.
Problem Statement
“How might we make the Nethone platform more self-serviced by the users?”
Process
Research and competitive analysis.

Logical Statement Rule
The Logical Statement Rule is a key feature of the Nethone platform. It combines various types of legacy rules into one rule creator and allows users to build advanced rules independently. It also introduces over 200 new attributes for rule creation. This solution has reduced the need for support from the Customer Success team and attracted new clients who appreciate the tool's versatility.
Problem
Users want to create specific custom rules by themself.
Solution
I've created a new type of rule with a flexible expressions editor, that allows to use of all of the legacy rule types and is prepared for adding new ones.
Rules Testing
Research has shown that users are afraid of independently creating and publishing rules that, due to their mistakes, may impact the financial results of their business. Rule testing on the historical data gives the ability to perform a checkup of the created rule before publishing it live.
Problem
Users want to confidently publish the rules they create, free from any concerns about their impact on the business.
Solution
The introduction of the rule simulation feature allowed users to test the rules they created. Thanks to this solution, they gained confidence in creating their own rules, reducing the need to involve the Nethone team for assistance.
Rule Sets
Rule sets are an important part of the Nethone tool. Thanks to them, users can combine rules into sets that can protect them even against advanced fraudulent attacks.
Problem
Users would like to easily create new rule sets, and manage the rules inside them.
Solution
Designed view of rule sets with the added ability to create new sets. Added the rule management capabilities (adding, removing, copying, and moving rules between sets).
Dashboard
The dashboard is the first screen the user sees after logging in. It should present a clear and concise summary of the tool's performance, as well as key metrics related to individual elements. In the previous version, there was a lack of detailed information regarding the operation and performance of rule sets and individual rules. The filters were also insufficient.
Problem
Users can't check the overall performance of the platform.
Solution
Designed new widgets that summarize the performance of the rule sets, along with a breakdown for each rule. Users can check how each specific rule is performing and filter the impacted transactions.
Additional Requirements and Approach
The Nethone platform has an outdated User Interface, so part of my job was to design a new and modern version of the UI. Along with this task, I've created a style guide that helps to maintain consistency across the views.
Summary
I have led the revamp and creation of the new version of the Nethone platform. I was focused on the new functionalities and user experience, but also there was a need to update the UI.
An iterative approach to the project and close collaboration with the Product Manager and engineering team resulted in a quick deployment of the changes and functionalities.
Thanks to the new functionalities and improved experience in the platform users can now confidently use the platform by themselves without the worry about hurting their businesses.
The platform has been improved to a self-service manner.
